Audemars Piguet new Royal Oak for Ladies

The Royal Oak Quartz 33 mm watch

Representing a return to roots, meaning to the pure aesthetic of the collection, Audemars Piguet is launching a dainty 33mm-diameter-model to be added to its classic Royal Oak collection.

The subtle interplay of alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces characterising the first Royal Oak watches accentuate the clear-cut lines of this 33 mm model; while the eight hexagonal screws on the octagonal bezel are in white gold, just as they were on the original watch in 1972.

The silver-toned dial of this Royal Oak bears a “Grande Tapisserie” pattern that now becomes a signature for all Royal Oak Selfwinding and Quartz models. This motif is crafted by Audemars Piguet using historical machines according to the ramolayé or pounced ornament technique.

The Royal Oak Chronograph 41 mm

Audemars Piguet at the SIHH 201

Audemars Piguet will be celebrating 40 years since their first prestige sport watch. As part of that celebration, its famous Royal Oak Chronograph will be designed in a new 41 mm case.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 41 mm with its pinnk gold case retains all the key attributes that have made the Royal Oak a truly legendary watch. Like the 1972 model, the latest Royal Oak chronograph features a subtle interplay of alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, as well as the eight white gold hexagonal screws on the octagonal bezel.

The black dial of this chronograph features a “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. This motif is crafted by Audemars Piguet using historical machines according to the ramolayé or pounced ornament technique. This rare and unique process that Audemars Piguet is proud to both possess and master, enables simultaneous cutting of squares interspersed with a gridwork pattern of fine grooves.

Audemars Piguet evening in support of Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute

Ambassador LeBron James and Celine Dion concert in Miami

President & CEO of Audemars Piguet North America, Francois-Henry Bennahmias, was joined by global brand ambassador and two-time NBA MVP and Miami Heat star LeBron James this evening at a charity event in support of Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute. At a private dinner Audemars Piguet sponsored following Celine Dion’s sold-out concert, Ms. Dion was on stage to help Mr. Bennahmias auction an 18K white gold and baguette diamond Jules Audemars Chronograph Tourbillon watch. At one point during the bidding, Ms. Dion even took the microphone and started singing songs related to time. LeBron James also got into the action on stage by adding two of his floor seats to a future Miami Heat/Boston Celtics game to the auction package. The atmosphere was electric, and the auction of several exclusive packages produced nearly $500,000 in proceeds, including a match from event grand benefactor Victor E. Clarke. The event kicked off the Institute's capital campaign to raise funds for a $60 million expansion on the Baptist Hospital campus, 8900 N. Kendall Drive.
