Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 'Tribute to Fifty Fathoms Aqua Lung'

BLANCPAIN have released a special edition of the Fifty Fathoms for 2011. This follows the highly popular Fifty Fathoms ‘Tribute to Fifty Fathoms’ with its iconic No Radiation logo.

This is the second "tribute" model in the Fifty Fathoms watch collection and to get both models straight you'll need to pay close attention to the names. The watch simply bears the text 'Aqua Lung' like its predecessors at the 12 o’clock position. The other changes over the current Fifty Fathoms include new hands, different hour markers, the removal of the minute markers (first 15 minutes) on the bezel and a new strap. The new strap comes complete with circular holes, the way many original Aqua Lung's straps were typically designed back in the '60s.

The case and movement are the same as you'll find in the standard Fifty Fathoms watch. That means it is in steel and 45mm wide. It also has an in-house automatic movement with several days of power reserve.
