Luxury brand Montblanc celebrates its partnership with Institut Minerva de Reherche en Haute Horlogerie (Minerva) with a very special watch to mark Minerva’s 150th anniversary: the Grand Tourbillon Heures Mysterieuses, under the Villeret 1858 Collection.
The product has been designed and developed since 2005 with both traditional technique and contemporary methods. It is an in-house Minerva movement -38.4 mm in diameter and 9.7 mm high-. It features a rather big tourbillon cage (20 mm) and provides power reserve for 50 hours. Bearing an exceptionally large screw-mounted balance wheel, the cage takes the form of overlapping figure eights, drawing the eye into the mesmerizing gyrations of the escapement, as well as the stunning workmanship of the gleaming, hand-polished steel surfaces. Time indication is exercised by hands fixed at the rotating sapphire disks; the central axis is absent. The case is 47 X 14.4 mm in size and is 30 meters water resistance.
Part of the Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858, the Grand Tourbillon Heures Mysterieuses timepiece is produced in limited edition: one unique timepiece in platinum, eight pieces in rose gold and eight pieces in white gold.
