The Longines DolceVita collection was created in 1997 and has enjoyed immense success ever since. It embodies the brand’s vision of contemporary elegance. With their typical harmonious rectangular case, the various models in this collection are based on the delights of the Italian way of life – la Dolce Vita. Now Longines has created a new version of this horological elegance by combining steel with yellow or rose gold. The British filmstar Kate Winslet, who won the Oscar for best actress in 2009, the icon of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the Asian star Chi Ling Lin can be seen wearing this work of art.
The Longines DolceVita collection embodies the brand’s vision of contemporary elegance. Now Longines has decided to create a new version of contemporary elegance by using different colours of gold to enhance the brilliance of the steel. The new additions to the DolceVita collection that combine steel with yellow or rose gold are available in three sizes, to suit all tastes and requirements. They feature either a white dial with Arabic numerals and indices, a silvered “flinqué†dial with blue Roman numerals or white a mother-of-pearl dial set with diamonds. The versions in steel and rose gold also have white a mother-of-pearl dial with arabesque numerals. Like the rectangular case that combines steel with gold, the bracelet on which these new models are mounted brings together the brilliance of steel and the gentle warmth of gold. Certain models are set with diamonds. All models are fitted with a quartz movement.

TAG Heuer and Audi Sport made History!
TAG Heuer and Le Mans, a 40 years long story.
The Audi #9 driven by Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller crossed the finish line at 3.00pm ahead of the Audi #8 (Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Treluyer) and the Audi #7 (Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish), offering to Audi Sport its 9th victory in 12 participations and the first ever triple for TAG Heuer.
The nine Drivers & Dr Ullrich, head of Audi Sport, proudly celebrate their domination on the podium wearing their TAG Heuer chronographs and colours.
TAG Heuer has a long history with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, started 40 years ago. The 1970 movie “Le Mans†starred Steve McQueen in a Gulf-sponsored Porsche 917K, and made the TAG Heuer Monaco watch famous worldwide. In 1973, Heuer was official timekeeper and partner of Scuderia Ferrari with the famous Ferrari 312 PB sport prototypes. 
(In 2007 TAG Heuer was back to the 24 hours of Le Mans with Peugeot Sport and won the race in 2009 with Peugeot Sport car #9 and its drivers Marc Géné, Alexander Wurz and David Brabham)
As official partner and official timekeeper, TAG Heuer is providing Audi Sport drivers and management with hi-end chronographs (Carrera Day-Date & Grand Carrera) and sunglasses. On top of that, the Eyewear research & development team worked closely with Audi Sport drivers to develop Night-Vision glasses to test their products in the most demanding conditions – even personalizing products according to specific driver requests. These glasses provide improved, more comfortable night vision by correcting night myopia and prismatic deviation.
For the 1st time ever, theTAG Heuer Night Vision technology was used during the mythical Le Mans night by Dindo Capello! With this fabulous 1-2-3 realized by Audi, TAG Heuer achieved a 2nd victory in a row at Le Mans. During the same week-end, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button won Montreal Grand Prix and McLaren is still leading the Formula 1 championship. With its two partners, TAG Heuer proves once again its domination in motor sports.
TAG Heuer chronographs and eyewear won with Audi the fastest ever Le Mans 24 in history at the stunning average speed of 225.5 km/h thus driving more than 5400 km in 24 hours and beating the longest standing record in history established in 1971 by a Porsche 917 similar to the one used by Steve McQueen and TAG Heuer in the famous Le Mans movie.

Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille proudly sponsored the fifth biannual Le Mans Classic, the vintage race car event that takes place at the celebrated 13 km Le Mans circuit in France.
Le Mans Classic became one of the most impressive displays of classic racing automobiles. It pays tribute to the historic 24 Heures du Mans, the oldest endurance sports car race in the world. This year’s event drew in more than 400 cars, 1,000 drivers, and roughly 100,000 spectators.

Emerging rumours say that the highly complex Richard Mille 027 Tourbillon gifted to tennis superstar Rafael Nadal was stolen a few weeks ago at the Toronto Tournament.
Richard Mille, in conjunction with tennis superstar Rafael Nadal, created the all new RM 027 Tourbillon, a watch that is so light (20 grams with strap) that Nadal wears it when playing on court!

The movement baseplate of the RM 027 Tourbillon is made from Titanium and LITAL® alloy, a high lithium content alloy containing aluminum, copper, magnesium and zirconium, possessing a density of 2.55. The addition of Lithium, one of the lightest elements, to the alloy mixture, provides great strength without adding unnecessary weight. It is for this same reason that this particular alloy is also used in the aerospace industry in the construction of the Airbus A380, helicopters, rockets and satellites, as well as in F1 racing cars.
The result is one of the world’s lightest mechanical tourbillon wristwatches with a movement weight of just a mere 3.83 grams.
The RM 027 watchcase, composed of a composite containing large amounts of carbon, provides a tough and resilient enclosure for the tourbillon movement at its center. The back bezel and caseband are monobloc to ensure total lightness. The glass; the bezel and the flange in carbon have remarkable properties of stiffness and torsional rigidity.
However, the biggest endorsement of all is that this piece has been tried and tested by a man renowned for refusing to compromise when it comes to his sport and his performance. The fact that Rafael Nadal has agreed to wear this piece in all of his matches says far more than any technical specifications ever could.
The RM 027 Tourbillon will be produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces with an ultra light strap in polycarbonate and is expected to be priced upwards of $500,000, meaning you will need to be a superstar also if you ever hope to own one.

Just in a matter of days, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup will begin. This unique competition has an elegance that difficult, harsh conditions cannot obscure. Along the Sardinian coastline, powerful yachts cut through the Mediterranean with agility and apparent ease. The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is a weeklong festival of competition and grand social occasions.
