The Daniel Roth Company was established in 1989 in Le Sentier, a little village on the shore of the Lac de Joux. The very special atmosphere of this valley contributed greatly to the creation of genuine masterpieces of the watchmaking art industry.
In 2000, the company was acquired by the Bulgari Group which took action designed to reinforce a strategy that had already proved successful in recent years. Today the brand benefits from a strong identity associated with the exclusive development of mechanisms often regarded as world firsts.
Daniel Roth watches are made entirely by hand in the workshops in Le Sentier.
According to its chronographs, they are still being made today. The chosen system is the most complex known to watchmakers, with two times and two correctors.
A perpetual calendar watch shows the date, day of the week, month and phases of the moon. It automatically takes account of the number of days in the month and of leap years without any annual intervention
This Daniel Roth Tourbillon comprises a mobile cage which completes one rotation on its own axis every minute and carries both the escapement and the regulation element. The three branched hand in the seconds display presents and original sequence of indicators located on three arcs of a circle. As the hallmark of the brand, this hand symbolizes innovation on the production of complicated watches.
