Girard-Perregaux Limited Edition new release
The ww.tc chronograph “Mondo Exploris”
Girard-Perregaux is releasing a limited edition of one of its classic collections; the ww.tc chronograph is now presented in a unique edition of only 8 pieces named “Mondo Exploris” designed along with the magazine CAESAR.
In collaboration with the luxury magazine CAESAR, Girard-Perregaux is releasing a new steel version of the ww.tc chronograph. The CAESAR logo is hence displayed on the the ring indicating the cities of these exclusive series: the ww.tc lady Mondo Exploris is a limited edition to four pieces only while the ww.tc Mondo Exploris chronograph is limited to eight pieces.

Case: Stainless steel, satin-finished. Three-body case, rounded bezel, concave lugs, screw-down crowns, sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment

Case-back: Steel, engraved with AE & Mondo Exploris logos and fitted with transparent sapphire crystal, secured by 6 screws.
Dial: Matt black with luminous “12” numeral, 8 round indexes, and transferred Girard-Perregaux, Mondo Exploris and AE logos. Black and red 24-hour revolving ring. Outermost 24-city disc printed with CAESAR for GMT +2 timezone. Luminous white baton hour and minute hands
Movement: Girard-Perregaux GP033C0. Mechanical manufactured movement, self-winding

Power reserve: minimum 46 hours
Functions: hour, minute, small second, world time with day/night indicator, chronograph, date
Finishing: circular graining on the main plate, Côtes de Genève on the bridges and oscillating weight, and blued steel screws

Girard-Perregaux partners with Andrea Bocelli and launch a new foundation
2011 Benefit Gala to be held in Los Angeles
Girard-Perregaux has proudly become the partner or world renowned artist Andrea Bocelli in the launching of a new foundation. The Andrea Bocelli Foundation will host a Benefit Gala on December 9th in Los Angeles.
The 2011 Benefit Gala will feature a dinner and performances by Andrea Bocelli himself as well as David Foster, Heather Headley and Anna Maria Martinez. The foundation will be launched at a fundraising event produced by Studiomusica and Jo Champa presented by the Grammy Museum Foundation and will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The Andrea Bocelli Foundation will be a body aimed at supporting those living in poverty or overcoming barriers caused by illness and disability. Two types of programs will be supported- those that alleviate poverty and those that help people overcome physical limitations caused by illness. The Foundation will actively seek to identify innovative and original projects to support.
Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard), declared to be very proud and excited to join forces with Andrea Bocelli in the launch of his new foundation as his accomplishments as an artist and philanthropist are an inspiration to everyone.
