A combination of titanium, platinum and sapphire

We are overloaded with information on all the 2012 releases of every top brand. So we will be introducing them little by little, one by one. Today we are presenting the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon With Three Bridges.
This beautiful watch is a combination of titanium, platinum and lucent sapphire that will be released as a limited edition of only ten timepieces being made. Inside the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon is the Girard-Perregaux 9600-0004 automatic movement with 48 hours of power reserve.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tourbillon blends the old with the new. A subtle satin-brushed and polished octagonal bezel made from platinum adds character to the rounded case. Chunky lume-coated hands rest atop the middle bridge for the mainplate, which is guilloche decorated. At 12 o’clock is the barrel bridge and the tourbillon bridge is at 6 o’clock.
A true magnificent piece for all Girard-Perregaux and haute horlogerie fans that will come presented with a titanium link bracelet.

Visionary watchmaker Dominiquie Loiseau joins the team

Girrard-Perregaux has announced the addition of visionary watchmaker creator of remarkable timepieces, Dominique Loiseau, to its manufacturing team.
The team of manufactures at Girard-Perregaux has now incorporated the creator of remarkable timepieces such as the six Montres de Sables, the Rose des Temps clock, the Renaissance or Capriccio pocket watches and the famed Blancpain 1735 wristwatch.
A restorer of collectors’ timepieces, artisan and teacher at the International Museum of Watchmaking in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where the Girard-Perregaux manufacture is located, Dominique Loiseau is no stranger to the brand’s historical heritage and innovations.
Loiseau was brought in by the Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard) during the last quarter of 2011 in order to strengthen the brand’s “think tank”. He will not only bring a fresh perspective to the brand but has also taken on the project of developing new complications and movements.
