She looked incredibly beautiful when she checked in at the Palace. She carried her luggage herself. And she asked for the room with the biggest bathtub in the house. She also asked for it to be filled with sea water. No one had ever heard that before. No one had ever seen a woman move as gracefully as her either. And at the Palace, they thought they had seen it all. Graceful, yet powerful. It was as if she came from another element altogether.
A perfectly cut dress, designer shoes, the must-have handbag. It was none of these things. It was what was on her wrist that gave her away. Two eyes looking at you. Sparkling with pure white
diamonds. A watch, like from another time, another world. Perfect on a slim wrist. And then she must be doing things. This was a not a toy but a sophisticated mechanical chronograph, made for all the elements.
A mermaid perhaps? A rare species in any event.
The GRAHAM Swordfish Diamonds, like the woman who owns it, belongs to a rare species indeed. It takes a long time, great craftsmanship and 209 diamonds of exactly the same carat, clarity, colour and cut to set the bezel with its two loupes. 60 more diamonds, and the case has its unique lustre. Time is told by another 50 diamonds on the dial. And time is kept by a selfwinding mechanical movement especially engineered for GRAHAM to display the running seconds on the same sub-dial that counts the twelve-hours of the stopwatch. Together with the 30 minutes counter and the central hand for the seconds, this is a perfect chronograph. Because this is not just any watch but a true GRAHAM where the movement is as sophisticated as the case.

The 47mm steel case is black PVD coated and the steel bezel with its tachymeter scale features Clous de Paris decoration. Inside, its Calibre G1734 automatic bi-compax chronograph with power reserve of 48 hours. Water resistance is to 100m.
The Isle of Man TT celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, a century of no limits two-wheel road racing on tiny country lanes with no safety run-off areas. The Graham Silverstone Tourist Trophy for 2011 is limited to 200 individually numbered pieces. The winning rider of each category will receive a special edition Graham watch along with their laurels.
