Presenting the Limited Edition Big Bang 44 mm “Aero Bang Niemeyer”

As Official Timekeeper of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, Hublot is starting the countdown to the event by recognizing and celebrating on of Brazil’s most celebrated figures, architech Oscar Niemeyer.
Rick Delacroix, President oh Hublot Latin America has officially presented the watch to Mr Niemeyer’s himself as part of his 104th birthday on November 29th 2011. At Oscar Niemeyer’s residence in Copacabana, Rio de Brazil, the architect was presented with the watch that bears his name, with the number 104/104.
Oscar Niemeyer is one of the most famous architects in the world. Responsible for the realisation of more than 600 projects, including the construction of the UN headquarters, he is one of the great symbols of contemporary architecture.
The Big Bang “Aero Bang Niemeyer” is crafted in tantalum and features an elegant matt black skeleton dial with yellow and green colours applied to the indexes in a clear reference to the colors of the Brazilian flag.
