IWC partnership with luxury shoemaker Santoni
Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days Collection
IWC presented the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days Collection at the Malmaison by The Hour Glass; a collection with all the watch straps handcrafted by the legendary Italian shoemaker, Santoni. The Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days series will be manufactured in combinations of a red-gold case with slate-grey colored dial and a dark brown alligator leather strap; and stainless steel case, in either black dial with a dark brown strap, or silvered dial and a brown strap.
IWC and Santoni have signed a 5-year partnership and the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days is the first of more projects to come. Signs of its success was evident throughout the presentation evening when there were many enquiries on whether the Santoni watch strap could fit the watches from the other IWC families, and also whether it comes in other colors besides the current black, dark brown and brown being offered.
One the three timepieces of the latest collection presented, we will feature today the reference IW510104, a version designed in a 18K Red Gold case with a brown alligator leather strap.
