IWC Portofino event in Kuala Lumpur
Timeless Memories of Portofino
After the glamorous launch event of the " Memories of Portofino" in Geneva, Peter Lindbergh's wonderful photographs will now travel to Kuala Lumpur to present the Timeless Memories of Portofino.
In a one night only event that included the fantastic pictures by Peter Lindbergh as well as the entire Portofino line of watches on display, IWC aficionados gathered at White Box, a contemporary art gallery space located at MAP @ Publika to celebrate IWC Shaffhausen and Peter Lindberg’s “A night in Portofino”, a brilliant photographic collaboration between the legendary photographer and the renowned Swiss watchmaker.
Guests were treated like stars for the night, escorted by models dressed in the style of the 50s down a long red carpet lined with flashes of more than a dozen cameras by paparazzi photographers. The entrance of White Box was transformed into a glitzy and glamorous set depicting the famous grand cinema complete with the red carpet, welcoming guests being wined and dined, musicians serenading with Italian tunes, and silhouette cutting and portrait artists sketching and sculpting their portrait as a momento to take away from this glamorous beautiful evening.
A timeless event indeed that will live in the memory of all guests, IWC aficionados, and above all, every Portofino fan who was able to take part at the event in Asia last week.
