Jaeger-LeCoultre is launching another Reverso edition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the brand’s most iconic model. And there’s no better date than Valentine’s Day to add new timepieces to the Lady Ultra Thin collection.

Through its generous dimensions, this new watch intended as a tribute to its famous predecessor in 1931 displays proportions that have been subtly redesigned in the feminine mode, while remaining a Reverso that is recognizable at first glance.

At the SIHH 2012, the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre presented three new timepieces in its Master Control line, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Master Control, Master Ultra Thin Réserve de Marche and Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon.

Twenty years after its presentation and building on unflagging success, the Master Control reasserts its minimalist credo in a refined new interpretation. It houses Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 899, which incorporates the latest developments to emerge from the company laboratories in the fields of resistance and robustness.

The Ultra Thin models enrich the legendary reliability and minimalist aesthetic of the Master line with a new feat: the extreme slenderness of its technical execution. In its 39 mm-diameter case, the Master Ultra Thin Réserve de Marche expresses a horological philosophy based on reducing functions and their representation to absolute essentials.

Jaeger-LeCoultre continues with the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of one of its most legendary collections: the Reverso. The new addition is the Reverso Repetition Minute a rideaux

The new Reverso Repetition Minute a rideaux will be available in two limited editions: the 75-piece Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau; and the 8-piece Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau Venise featuring a dial and bridges in blue gold.

The Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau is the latest interpretation, a minute repeater watch that is driven by an artfully executed Venetian blind covering the dial, that upon being slid back activates the repeater mechanism which in turn sounds the given time counting hours, quarter hours and minutes by the sound of two gongs.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition à Répétitions Minutes is equipped with the Calibre 947, which consolidated its place in the history of watch sound when in 2009 Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the first minute repeater watch with a two-week power reserve combined with a regulator display.  

Jaeger-LeCoultre specialists have studied each of the sound parameters so as to obtain the best possible combination. The result is quite simply breathtaking. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition à Répétitions Minutes produces a sound that has never been heard before in a wristwatch. With 64 decibels, durations of over 600 milliseconds and a richness of 9 partials, the sound produced surpasses any performance previously obtained with a wristwatch.
