The Watch of The Year awards voted by the public took place in Vienna and Munich

Thousands of watch lovers visited the watch exhibitions in Vienna and Munich in November this year and voted for the "Watch of the Year”. Jaeger-LeCoultre watches won prizes in three categories.
The famous watch exhibition Viennatime took place in Museum MAK during from November 11th to November 13th, 2011, where the watch industry presented its novelties to a large audience. While the same exhibition opened its doors in Munich, the Munichtime from November 4th to November 6th.
The awards were presented during the traditional Watch Gala at the "Aula der Wissenschaften" in Vienna on the 6th of December. And Jaeger-LeCoultre won several awards as a result of the vote by end consumers.
The timepieces by Jaeger-Lecoultre that were voted by the public were: the iconic Grande Reverso Lady Ultra-Thin in pink gold, which took the first place in the "Luxury Women Watches" category in Vienna as well as in Munich; the Master Ultra-Thin Moon in pink gold, was awarded the Second Place in Vienna and Third Place in Munich in the "Small Complications" category; and the Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea resulted in the Third Place in the "Sport Watches" category in Munich.

The Reverso in the colours of the AC Milan

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre opened the Reverso Virtual Museum. The Chapter VII of the celebrating year will see the launch of the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931 decorated with the AC Milan club colours.
Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre is proud to have been chosen to immortalise the latest success of the world's most titled club, the AC Milan. In the great tradition of the Reverso and its 80-year history, each watch will be engraved and decorated with the team colours, the player's name and number and bear the AC Milan inscription on the case-back. The club directors will wear the same model, engraved with their name and a commemorative logo.

The 11th International Film Festival of Marrakech
At the opening of the 11th International Film Festival of Marrakech, event that will run from December 2nd to December 10th, American actress Jessica Chastain was spotted wearing the Joaillerie 101 Etrier.Jessica Chastain played in the 2011 films The Help, The Debt, Take Shelter, and The Tree of Life and will take on the role of Princess Diana in the upcoming film Caught in Flight. During the 11th International Film Festival of Marrakech, the actress is also member of the jury chaired this year by director Emir Kusturica. Paying tribute to the excellence of Jaeger Le-Coultre timepieces, Jessica Chastain stroll the red carpet of Marrakech with a Joaillerie 101 Etrier, a diamond-set watch with the smallest mechanical movement in the world. On a previous occasion, at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, Jessica chose to wear the Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin.

A watch to honour the most prestigious championship in showjumping today

From November 24th to November 26th, the final for The Global Champions Tour (“GCT”), the most prestigious championship in showjumping today, took place at Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi.
At the event Jaeger-LeCoultre, official timekeeper of the Global Champions Tour for the second consecutive year, presented two very special personalised awards for the two winners of the weekend. The winner of the Abu Dhabi Stage of the Global Champions Tour was awarded with a personalised Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Watch, engraved with the logo of the GCT.
Jaeger Le-Coultre once more took the opportunity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its iconic Reverso watch and presented a reversible watch linked to the equestrian world through the conception in 1931 of a swivelling case with a hard back in order to protect the glass of the watches of polo players against the hard knocks of a game of polo.
This venue was the last opportunity for the participants to score points for the overall GCT 2011 standing. With the best overall score out of 10 rounds, Australian rider Edwina Tops – Alexander, classed as the best female rider in the world, was crowned overall winner of the Global Champions Tour 2011 and was awarded a beautiful Atmos Clock, presented in a special case showcasing the Global Champions Tour logo and dates of the final held in Abu Dhabi.
The Global Champions Tour was founded by Olympic gold medallist Jan Tops in 2006, with the objective to improve the sport through better conditions for riders, horses, horse owners, sponsors and spectators alike.
