Officine Panerai is to sponsor a benefit lunch and sail benefit for the Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in conjunction with the Sailing Heals Foundation. Sailing Heals is a U.S. based 501organization whose aim is to provide enjoyable sailing and boating experiences to individuals, families, caretakers and staff who may benefit from a congenial, healing day on the water.
The lunch and sail benefit event will be heldthis next Thursday October 6th, and it will be aboard the Black Watch, a 1938 vintage yawl and the 2011 winner of the North American Circuit of Panerai Classics yachts challenge. The yacht will depart from the North Cove Marina near the World Financial Center in Battery Park City.
Panerai has been sponsored the Sailing Heals Foundation for some time now, and in a communication sent on a previous event, which made Sailing Heals Executive Director Trisha Boisvert comment: “We couldn’t be more pleased than to launch our new charity with such well-respected organizations as MGH Cancer Center, Nantucket Community Hospital and Officine Panerai. We see a true collaborative spirit among all the partners, and we look forward to taking patients and their caretakers out of the clinical environment to enjoy the healing powers of the sea.”
As usual we are always glad with our favourite brands get together with non-profit organizations to help people suffering from different ailments and we wish this sailing experience will be a fun and joyful occasion that will alleviate people who have gone through traumatic experiences.
