Piaget sponsors the amfAR Inspiration Gala
Tribute to Dame Elizabeth Taylor
At a Gala evening full of stars, Piaget partnered with amfAR for the Inspiration Gala to pay tribute to its most inspirational supporter, Dame Elizabeth Taylor. The gala was held at the Chateau Marmonte, in Los Angeles, California on October 27th.
The event was hosted by Bravo TV personality, Andy Cohen . Academy Award winner, Sandra Bullock , gave a moving tribute to Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Also in attendance to lend their support were two-time Oscar winner, Sean Penn, Golden Globe winner, Colin Farrell , along with actors, Selma Blair, Josh Duhamel , Jesse Bradford , Rose McGowan , Ryan Kwanten, Garcelle Beauvais , Keegan Allen , model, Alek Wek, Decades co-owners, Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos , and singer, Estelle, among others.
A legendary star of stage and screen, Elizabeth Taylor achieved equal fame for her humanitarian commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS which dates from 1984. As amfAR’s Founding National Chairman, she became the new organization’s principal spokesperson and titular head. The Foundation is honored to have been associated with Ms. Taylor and profoundly grateful for her sustained and generous commitment to its lifesaving mission.
Piaget is proud to support amfAR and to be a founding sponsor of the amfAR Inspiration Gala series. In 2010, Piaget participated in both the New York and Los Angeles events. Los Angeles marks the conclusion of the 2011 series of amfAR Inspiration galas, following on the heels of sell-out events in São Paulo, New York and Paris. Piaget has been a leading sponsor of the series from the beginning and will continue its support in 2012.
