Piaget in Mark Ronson and The Business Intl's video

The debut single 'Bang Bang Bang' from the upcoming album Record Collection.

Los Angeles,  PIAGET, one of the world’s most prestigious watchmakers and jewelers, appears in Mark Ronson and The Business Intl's video for the debut single 'Bang Bang Bang' from the upcoming album Record Collection. Internationally renowned as one of the worlds finest DJs and music producers, Mark Ronson is a real visionary who knows how to take contemporary pop music’s big hitters and successfully re-interpret them.

His second album, Version (with covers of songs by bands such as Radiohead, Coldplay, The Smiths)
included three top ten hits and won Ronson a Brit Award for Best Male Artist in 2008. Few producers could boast as prolific a schedule over the past months as Ronson, who produced tracks on albums of Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, amongst others.

The first single to be taken from the forthcoming album Record Collection, featuring artists QTip and MNDR, “Bang Bang Bang” combines cutting edge surrealism with a retro stage space to create au unforgettable performance piece. The video opens with a contemporary and fashionable Ronson dressed in a white dial Piaget Altiplano watch. Upon placing the ultra-thin classic watch over his right eye with military precision, he is transported by a surreal lightshow into a futuristic club performance atmosphere. To complete this transformation, the sleek black and diamond Altiplano appears in place of the previous Piaget Altiplano.

The face of the timepiece resembles that of a vinyl record, accentuating Ronson’s modern and hip DJ style. Both watches are equipped with a Manufacture Piaget 430P mechanical hand-wound ultra-thin movement. What appealed to jet-setter Mark Ronson was a combination of the elegance and technical features of the Piaget Altiplano, along with the originality displayed by Piaget in introducing an Altiplano designed like a vinyl disc. These mechanical pieces featured in this video are available at Piaget boutiques and select retailers nationwide.

Piaget at the 25th Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris

September 15th – 22nd 2010

Since 1962, when the first Biennale or Antiques Fair was held in Paris, the Grand Palais has regularly welcomed (once very two years, as its French name implies) one of the finest international art events. Pierre Vandermersh, President of the National Union of Antique Dealers, first had the idea of this Antiques Fair in the late 1950s. The support of André Malraux, the iconic Minister for Cultural Affairs under General de Gaulle, enabled him to bring his project to fruition.
Inaugurated in 1900 at the World Fair, the Grand Palais is undoubtedly one of the world’s most prestigious exhibition centres. The restoration work undertaken between 2001 and 2007 now enables the Biennale to spread over a full 13,500 square metres within this exceptional Palace of Fine Arts.
The Piaget booth is located right in the middle of the Allée des Joailliers (Jewellers’ Avenue), at the centre of the Grand Palais beneath the 45 metre-high glass dome.

"Piaget, a tradition of excellence"
Piaget’s first participation in the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris is a natural continuation of the brand history. The tradition of prestige and excellence cultivated by Piaget since its founding in 1874, combined with its creativity and its successive encounters in the world of Art make it a first-class player in this event. From the famous ultra-thin hand-wound Calibre 9P to the 600P world-thinnest shaped tourbillon movement, the exceptional talent of the Maison Piaget lies in its ability to perpetually reinvent time-honoured techniques, to inspire dreams by creating surprises and emotions around gold and diamonds. In the late 1950s, jewellery began acquiring increasing importance for Piaget, with the appearance of jewellery-watches. In the 1960s and 1970s, the brand’s penchant for boldness was expressed fully and freely, creating an inimitable style and an immediately recognisable identity. The brand brought extravagance to the extremely traditional world of watchmaking by introducing hard stone dials, cuff-watches, ring-watches and amazing sautoir-necklace watches.
Piaget was one of the first companies to combine Haute Horlogerie and Haute Joaillerie, to create watches that were pieces of jewellery and vice versa. To look at time differently, as a precious entity that deserves the finest materials and the most accomplished expertise. To combine watchmaking know-how acquired through over 135 years with a constantly pioneering spirit. That was what led the brand in the 1960s to acquire workshops specialising in goldsmithing and precious stones in order to gain complete control of its production. Today, Piaget is a fully integrated watch manufacturer encompassing over 40 crafts and professions dedicated to the subtle and refined arts of Haute Horlogerie and Haute Joaillerie.

SIENNA MILLER The New Face of Piaget Possession

2010 Marks The 20th Anniversary Of The Famed Jewelry Collection

To commemorate 20 years of its much-loved Possession collection, Piaget is thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration with one of the world’s most fashionable women, Sienna Miller.
An accomplished actress, known for her memorable performances in such films as “Factory Girl”, “G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra” and Alfie”, Sienna is also a true fashion icon. Her effortless beauty and unforgettable style have landed her on the cover of countless fashion magazines, including Vogue’s now legendary September Issue. With millions of fans around the world, Sienna also uses her celebrity to help those less fortunate, serving as a global ambassador for International Medical Corps, which operates in 27 countries and is a leading organization in the Haitian relief effort.

She’s the ultimate woman of today and the perfect choice to embody one of Piaget’s most successful jewelry collections ever. With the goal of creating a series of iconic images of Sienna in Possession, Piaget assembled an A-list team of fashion industry professionals for a major photo shoot at Hudson Studios in New York. The firm tapped legendary photographer, Raymond Meier, who is recognized as one of the world’s finest when it comes to shooting both fashion and jewelry. Having worked with Meier on many projects, Elissa Santisi, the renowned stylist and regular contributor to Vogue, was a natural choice to style the
shoot. For makeup, Piaget turned to Gucci Westman, a favorite of both celebrities and fashion insiders.

Noted hair stylist, Esther Langham, and master manicurist, Jin Soon, rounded out the team. The first image from the shoot that will be released presents a confident, strong, yet totally feminine portrait of Sienna. She wears sleek, slim black leather pants and a silky, sleeveless white top, accented with multiple Possession chains, bracelets and rings—all in yellow gold—to give a modern, casual, chic look. Two additional images, featuring different fashion looks and accompanying Possession jewelry will be released in the coming months.

In addition to the incredible collection of images, Piaget has also created a “making-of” video. It offers exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the photo shoot, along with interviews of the team and Sienna herself. The video will be available on Piaget’s web site, Facebook site and on youtube.com on May 17th.
