CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENT
In preparing to shoot Le Mans, Steve McQueen’s main source of inspiration was his friend Jo Siffert, the Swiss racecar legend who in 1969 became the first driver ever sponsored by a watch brand: Heuer (TAG, standing for Techniques d’Avantgarde, was added in 1985 as the result of a takeover). McQueen insisted on wearing Heuer’s Monaco in the film, which had just been launched. Perhaps it was McQueen’s influence, or perhaps it was Porsche driver Siffert’s, but the Monaco seemed to become the preferred chronograph of the racing and fashion worlds in the 1970s.
PCA - THE PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA
The Porsche Club of America was founded 55 years ago by a commercial artist at home in the greater Washington, D.C. area; the first informal gathering took place at Bill Sholar’s home on February 8, 1955. By the time the second Porsche Parade occurred one year later, there were already 550 members. Sholar became Porsche’s official importer in 1963, the year Ken Twigg became president and 2,000 members were charted. The annual “Treffenâ€â€”which began as a get-together in Stuttgart with the Porsche Club of Germany—remains one of the club’s most important ventures and allows members to have an all-inclusive Porsche experience in the country of the car’s manufacture. Now serving more than 100,000 members, the PCA is the largest single-marque car club in the world.

Tiger Woods is making his come-back to pro golf at Masters
Augusta on April, 2010
On March 16th, Tiger Woods had declared: "The Masters is where I won my first major, and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta".
Tiger's on-course expectations remain the same. "Nothing's changed, going out there and try to win this thing," he said. And he and TAG Heuer can't wait to get ready for the first tee shot Thursday.
The 74th Masters Invitational Tournament has begun. No more cameras allowed. When the golfers approach the 16th tee, the observation stands packed with patrons, will greet them with absolutely zero cries of “skip it†today. Game faces have been screwed into place and the true competition begins.

Tiger Woods Press Conference At Masters: The return of the number 1 in worldwide golf.
Busy week for the world's finest golf players.
Tiger Woods, TAG Heuer sponsored golden golfer, will be participating in a press conference before his first big return to professional golf today. According to ABC reports, only some of the reporters there today will be allowed to enter the room for questions.
The disruptive golfer arrived for the Masters on Sunday, hit a few balls, and played a round of golf. Even though he has not competed since he won the Australian Masters on November 15, Woods is more than a four-time Masters champion. This championship is also a hope for Woods to turn public attention away from his personal life and focus on his golf game.
Tiger fans seem to be ecstatic about his return, as do advertisers and golf officials. Woods' return is going to bring lots of spectators and viewers of the tournament this year, with all eyes on him.
Tag Heuer, which received a four second close-up as Woods modeled his new Buddhist bracelet, received $5,000 worth of exposure.

Barack H. Obama's Jorg Gray Watch
