U-Boat To sponsor TRS Cup.

Powered by Ford Fiesta

Racing cars and sport accurate high-end watches have always been best friends. And it has just been announced another partnership of two members of those families. Established in the Phillipines, in 1999, Tuason Racing School (TRS) is the first and only professional racing school in that country, aiming to provide a complete ladder to motorsports and drivers training.

Founder and CEO of Tuason Racing School and TRS Driver Development Academy, JP Tuanson was boasting a U-Boat 45 AS when finalizing the sponsorship program earlier this September. JP, along with his brother Mike, vice president of operations and proud owner of a U-Boat Flightdeck 45 CAS 3, are racing teachers and multi awarded race car drivers, always in the look out for the best timepieces to track their records and time on the circuits.

The TRS Cup, powered by Ford Fiesta, is a three-leg race competition to be launched on September 29th, at The Plaza, Resorts World Newport Mall, in Manila, this time with U-Boat as the sponsor of one of the biggest motor sports program of the tear. It will feature more than 12 cars on the grassroots circuit program.

With a few collections already launched in the country, the Italian design brand by Italo Fontano, will be stepping hard on the Manila soil, which already cultivates a few collectors on these flawless and stylish oversized watches. Our own favorite: the Flightdeck 45, featuring hours, minutes, date, chronograph, small seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute counters, designed in Stainless Steel with the classic U-Boat carbon fiber dial. We wish the Tuason brothers the best and hope to see that U-Boat crossing the finish line and taking a trophy home!

The U-Boat 1001 Divers Watch

One of the three new watches presented by U-Boat at Baselworld 2010

(U-Boat at Baselworld 2010)

The 1001 was first presented to the public in an aluminium technological casket, visible only through a riveted port hole, reminiscent of a deep abyss. A 55-millimetre diameter grade 2 natural titanium box with the distinctive position of the rim protection on the left, helium valve and titanium plate bearing the serial number.

(U-Boat at Baselworld 2010)

It is easy to read as it has hours, minutes, seconds and the date at 4 o'clock. There are supernova pigments with beige, orange or blue, which make the white U1001 writing in relief stand out. It is waterproof down to 1001 metres. It features an anti-scratch sapphire glass which is 5.5mm thick and the 1001's heart pulsates as a result of an automatic mechanical movement with a reserve of 40 hours.

The back is screwed on with engraved serial numbering 1001 pieces, a black non-allergic and harmless rubber strap with a titanium attachment and a deploying closing mechanism.
