The beginning of the oldest watch manufacturer dates back into the year 1755, in Geneva City, when a young man called Jean-Marc Vacheron decided to open his own watch-making workshop. This exceptional craftsman founded a business that was to become, two and a half centuries later, one of the most renowned in the science of time. 15 years after its foundation, Vacheron Constantin creates his first 'complication' watches. Jaques-Barthélemy, grandson of Jean-Marc Vacheron together with François Constantin came up with the name of the company: "Vacheron et Constantin".
Since then, Vacheron Constantin has been considered one of the Haute Horlogerie top brands. The Company has built highly complicated and precise timepieces encased in especially decorous and costly shells.
