The Navitimer Heritage Honors the tradition of the authentic aviation chronograph, originating from the famous Navitimer of the fifties, the brand’s emblematic model. Slightly larger than the original Navitimer, the Heritage version features a bracelet integrated within the case, the first for Breitling. Another special feature of the Navitimer Heritage lies in its Flyback mechanism. An additional function allows successive timing operations while elimination the need to stop, return to zero and restart the chronograph. This characteristic, reserved for the most sophisticated aviation chronographs, was made possible by the development of Breitling Caliber 35. This exclusive self-winding movement is also equipped with “very short time” totalizers, graduated over 10 minutes and 3 hours for perfect read-off of the measured times. Like all Breitling movements, the Flyback Caliber 35 is officially chronometer certified. A graduated scale of the weights and measures used in aviation is engraved on the case back. Theses indications provide complementary data to those calculated using the circular slide rule.
