Breitling Windrider Chronomat
The reference
Breitling Windrider Chronomat // Caliber: Breitling 13 // Vibrations per hour: 28,800 // Jewels: 25
Currently the premier model in the Breitling collection, the Chronomat was created in 1984 to equip the Frecce Tricolori, the elite flight team of the Italian air force. Today, it is the world's most widely worn mechanical chronograph and has undoubtedly become the reference model within this product category. Inmediately recognizable thanks to its rotating rider-tab bezel which lends it a unique stylem it is also distinguished by a case with a horizontal profile -a comparatively unconventional yet extremely ergonomic shape. This characteristic construction makes it a functional watch instrument able to meet the most stringent demands in terms of ruggedness and reliability. Like all Breitling products, the Chronomat allows excellent time read-off thanks to its clearly and precisely arranged dial, as well as to the sapphire crystal which is glareproofed on both sides. The Chronomat is "propelled" by the powerful Breitling Caliber 13 -probably the world's finest selfwinding chronograph movement in terms of both reliability and precision.
