Breitling Blackbird
Absolute discretion
Caliber: Breitling 13 // Vibrations per hour: 28.800 // Jewels: 25
The chief characteristic of the Blackbird is its all mate steel case, corresponding to demand from military pilots. Named after the famous American trisonic reconnaissance aircraft, the Blackbird is entirely designed to absorb light and eliminate any reflections. The rider tabs, pushpieces, crown and even the screws are matte-finished throughout. The Blackbird is also distinguished by its resolutely angular styling. For example, the hour division on the surface of the bezel is subdivided into twelve sloping sides and the unusual pushpieces are designed in the same spirit. This singular aesthetic appeal is echoed in the bracelet, a Pilot Special with special satin-brushed matte finish, specially designed for the Blackbird.
