Corum’s Energy Team Leading at America’s Cup World Series

French team qualifying for the semifinals

Corum

A great weekend for the Corum sponsored French Team. The Energy Team AC45 skippered by Yann Guichard achieved an excellent result and confirmed its ability by grabbing first place in the overall rankings in the San Diego Match Racing Championship after the three fleet races that took place over the weekend.

Third in the first race, fifth in the second and winner of the third, the French challenger finished ahead of Emirates Team New Zealand and Oracle Racing Spithill. The French were certainly happy as they qualify automatically for the semi-finals, which are due to take place at the end of November in the California Bay.

The hectic and energetic racing day was followed by an intimate dinner at the prestigious Andaz Hotel where guests of Tourneau, the largest watch retailer in the world, were introduced to the Corum collection and the long standing connection between the brand and the sailing world. Energy Team members chose to celebrate the day's victory by joining Corum for the evening. The guests enjoyed the fine dining while listening to a presentation about the brand, its history, collection and today's positioning.

With the French tean now leading the San Diego Match Racing Championship, Corum and the Energy Team will be looking forward to the semi-finals of the America’s Cup to take place soon in the California Bay.
