Hublot presents one-of-a-kind timepiece to Mariano Rivera
The Aero Bang Steel
Hublot presented yet another special edition watch, this time to celebrate and honor Yankee baseball player Mariano Rivera’s 602nd career save. The presentation took place on Sunday, September 26th at Yankee stadium, where the Swiss luxury watch Hublot, and Roberto Chiappelloni of Manfredi Jewels presented Mariano Rivera with a one of a kind timepiece of its Aero Bang Steel.
This one of a kind timepiece, features an insert drawing on the backcase representing the player and etching the lines "602 Career Saves" and his new title as "All-time Saves Leader" in honor of his accomplishment. The Aero Bang Steel features a steel case and bezel with black skeleton dial and black rubber strap. The timepiece houses a self-winding chronograph movement.
At a packed Yankee Stadium, Mr Rivera received this unique timepiece from the hands if Roberto Chiappelloni, who declared that the presentation was not only to congratulate Mariano Rivera on setting an all-time saves record, but also for the extraordinary work he does for charity.
Beatrice De Quervain, Hublot North America President has also declared that Mariano represents everything Hublot admires and seeks to embody in its timepieces: a symbol of perseverance, hard work, and dedication. The new Aero Bang one-of-a-kind watch is the second presentation Hublot has made to a Yankee player. The first was awarded to Alex Rodriguez in honor of his 600th Home Run in 2010.

Hublot releases F1 King Power Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix
One of the 250 pieces to be donated to charity
Last week, one day prior to the 2011 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, Hublot revealed the F1 King Power Suzuka watch, a timepiece named after the Japanese circuit and bearing the colors of the Japanese flag, red and white.
This exclusive timepiece released for the 15th Round of the FIA Formula One Championship features an array of high-tech materials directly inspired by Formula 1, such as a ceramic bezel with a circular grained satin finished adorned with multiple holes to represent a high performance brake disk, a strap made from rubber and Nomex, a synthetic fiber developed by Dupont De Nemours and used to make the suits worn by the F1 drivers.
The F1 King Power Suzuka will be a limited edition of only 250 pieces to be made. And as part of the contacnt support to the Kids Earth Fund (KEF), Hublot announced that the coveted and one of a kind timepiece engraved with the number 0 out of the 250 will be auctioned, with all the funds raised donated to KEF.
KEF, since its foundation in 1998, has been sponsored by corporate enterprises. At the moment, the organization is establishing the 12th home base named “Kids Earth Home” in Watari, an area deeply affected by the Tsunami in March earlier this year. Hublot, who has previously donated all the proceeds from an auction of the “King Power Red Devil” limited edition watch, hopes this commitment will help children to restore their energy to have brilliant dreams.
