Hublot and Chef Phillippe Rochart ambassador of Swiss Culture in Singapore







As we couldn’t expect less, Hublot announced the “perfect fusion of watchmaking and jewellery, tradition and innovation, sparkle and invisibility”.  Exclusively for the ceremony of selection as Swiss culture Ambassador, Hublot presented for the first time the Big Bang Black Caviar, a perfect choice for the evening to be worn by selected Ambassador star Chef Phillippe Rochart.

In an evening that celebrate the marriage of taste, beauty, and style, Phillippe was in charge of smothering the guests with his culinary selections in combination with Hublot’s choice of “a symphony of shades in black and the visible white tones of the diamonds shine in their harmonious alignment”.

Featuring the date aperture at 3 and mounted on a black rubber strap providing confort and flexibility, the Big Bang Black Caviar is designed almost entirely in ceramic with a bezel set with 48 baguette diamonds. Sounds yum!

Hublot and Museum Oceanographic of Monaco

Hublot Oceanographic 4000





In association with the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Hublot unveils a diver's watch able to withstand the pressure exerted at a depth of 4000 metres.

It is a symbolic watch. The 4000 m watch. A watch developed for pushing the limits of what is rational and possible. It has taken 18 months of research, development and testing to present today, the Oceanographic 4000, a watch which can be worn on dives to depths of 4000 metres, under extreme pressure - an exceptional technical achievement.

For the first time, the famous Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, with the Institut Oceanographique Foundation Albert 1st Prince de Monaco - names renowned throughout the world in the fiels of marine studies, research and conservation - has agreed to be associated with a watch. Quite some symbol.



Thus, on 6 June 2011, in the main aquarium in Monaco dedicated to the preservation of specimens of marine animals, the "Oceanographic 4000" has been officially unveiled in the presence of HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Robert Calcagno, CEO of Oceanographic Institute, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot.

By choosing to support the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Hublot has decided not only to honour the history and unique heritage of the prestigious Monaco Institution, but has also chosen to give its active support to the study and preservation of the oceans by making a financial contribution to the missions and scientific surveys conducted by the Institute.

The first official meeting of the partnership will be the "DEEP SEA Conference" to be held on October 13 at the Oceanographic Institute of Paris. Hublot will be the main partner.

A genuine instrument with technology developed to the extreme, ergonomics for efficiency and ease of handling, this watch was conceived and designed to push the limits of the possible.

Hublot Nastie Bang

Limited Big Bang edition





Hublot’s Jean-Claude Biver captured everyone's attention when opening another brand boutique in London’s New Bond Street. Supporting the opening was tennis icon Ilie Nastase with a new limited edition of Big Bang: the Nastie Bang.

The piece features a 44.5mm microblasted black ceramic case.  Dial: anthracite grey with black nickel appliques and faceted black nickel hands and a red chronograph hand.  The Nastase personalisation comes in the form of a “tennis ball” 30 minute counter at 3 o’clock and a 60 seconds counter at 9 o’clock with tennis points markings, 15-30-40.  Ilie’s signature appears beneath the sapphire at 6 o’clock and the sapphire case back is inscribed with an image of the man himself. Inside: Hublot’s HUB 4100 Calibre automatic chronograph movement. Water resistance is to 100 metres. 

As Nastase won 132 titles in his career Hublot thought it would be a great opportunity to pay tribute to all his work with a limited edition of 132 pieces. The Hublot Nastie Bang  comes presented on a black rubber and leather strap with contrasting yellow stitching.

Maradona’s Visit to the Hublot Manufacture

The Big Bang Maradona




During a short visit to Switzerland yesterday, May 10 2011, Diego Maradona visited the
Hublot manufacture in Nyon. He was enthusiastic about the latest models and prototypes in development and even tried the delicate work of the watch-makers himself. He  reiterated his attachment to this Swiss brand, to this family which he has become an important member.
