Jaeger-LeCoultre presented the Global Champions Tour in the Netherlands

August. Valkenswaard, the Netherlands

As part of the three seasons partnership between Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Global Champions Tour (“GCT”), the official partner and time keeper of the series was present at the GCT of the Netherlands, Valkenswaard.
The two brands are well suited as the GCT represents the most prestigious championship in show jumping today, just as Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most renowned and high quality watchmakers in the world.

At the prize giving ceremony the brand proudly rewarded a unique timepiece to Beezie Breezes
She is steady, accurate and very focused. She has a great team around her and Saturday the 13th of August it all came together. USA rider Beezie Madden romped off to an emphatic win in the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Valkenswaard. Beezie claimed the win with a new team horse Cortes "C” that she has only had for a few months.
This is just her second Global Champions Tour start this year and although Beezie has been competing on the Global Champions Tour since 2006, this is her finest result to date.

Beezie took home the cheque for 92.000 euros as well as receiving the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch that has been especially engraved for the series.

Jaeger-LeCoultre and Equestrian sports: Birth of the Reverso watch
A long time ago, back in 1931, in a dusty vortex and to the accompaniment of horses’ hooves hammering, an idea was born: a watch with a dial that could protect itself from shocks, all the while offering a personalized engraved case-back. Eighty years later, the Reverso has progressed from watchmaking icon to cult status.

In 30s’ the Reverso was developed specifically to withstand the rough and tumble of chic leisure activities.

Capable of accompanying players’ sporting feats while maintaining its exemplary discretion, its stainless steel case slid in its support and swiveled completely to turn its back on time. The Reverso was born.

Through sports partnerships supported by the brand in many different countries and the announcement of an agreement signed with the world’s finest jumping organization, the longstanding ties between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Equestrian sports are stronger than ever.

Nobility, speed, accuracy and impeccable dexterity are the principles that have consistently inspired the rules of polo, and jumping.

From the entrance arch to the main playground, Jaeger-LeCoultre will be present on the main areas of the competitions. During the events, guests will be welcomed in the VIP area, where they will attend a beautiful spectacular and also discover the latest timepieces from La Grande Maison.

In 2011, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Reverso, the winner of every tournament will win a Reverso specially engraved by the Manufacture for this occasion.
