Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 6542 "Ultra Tropical Dial"
Great Vintage Watches.

Featuring a ultra brown caramel tone dial and original bakelite bezel insert. This is the ultimate
GMT, and would bee the centerpiece of any advanced collection.
Case has been recently detailed with correctly matted case sides and razor sharp large beveled
edges. Serial numbers and ref. numbers are slightly worn by bracelet wear, but are generally
clean and visible.

Original bakelite bezel has some minor surface wear as shown, but no cracks.
Original "T-25" signed dial in stunning original condition. Dial has faded to a beautiful caramel
orange-brown color, and lume dots are well defined and beautifully patina'd. The hands have had
their luminous refilled and matched to the luminous dial plots.

General scholarly knowledge shows that the "SWISS" only dials trade at a significantly higher
premium to the "T-25" dials, but that absolutely in no way detracts from the beauty of this piece.
It is also glossy gilt like the originals, with the only differences being the swiss designation on the
dial at 6 o'clock, and different luminous material used.

Sometimes these types of dials are described as "replacement dials", but that too remains to be
proven, as there are many examples found from primary sources that feature this type of dial.

Comes on a beautiful honey colored alligator band in new condition. Watch comes on a Rolex
signed steel buckle.
